HOMECARE/PERSONAL CARE - PERSON CENTRED SUPPORT

GCS’S Home Care/Personal Care Service is fully regulated by the CQC which is an independent regulator of Health and Social Care in England, with the objective of ensuring that people have access to safe, effective and high quality care services. They monitor, inspect and regulate these services to make sure that they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. They publish what they find and give each provider performance ratings.

GCS is committed to providing personalised care and support, giving people full choice and control. No matter whether you access our services through your local authority or want to buy support directly from us, we will always provide you with a service that is built around your needs and aspirations - we believe that you should be at the centre of every decision made about your support.

This means choosing and managing your own personal assistants and organising your support so you know who is coming into your home and when. It also means supporting you to follow your interests, achieve your goals and wishes/outcomes. You can buy your support from us:

  • If you receive a Direct Payment or Personal Budget from your local authority or NHS; and
  • If you are a self-funder - a self-funder is someone who would like care and support but does not need, or is not eligible for Local Authority funding.

If you wish, your family carer or representative will be fully involved to assist you in making the right decision for yourself.

Flexibility and choice

Our services provide various levels of support, depending on your situation. Every service user has a support and care plan that are regularly reviewed to make sure they still reflect the things that are important to each individual.

We can offer support to people in their own homes, shared supported living accommodations, in the community/outside their homes.

We are experienced in finding creative ways to maximising service users’ personal budgets or individual service funds to enable service users in achieving their goals and aspirations. We believe that our personalised approach enables you to choose your own packages of support.
